- Website automatically adds the tip (when ordering online). Impossible to change the amount of the tip.
- No receipt provided.
- Substitutions made without permission and without warning. Why?
- Lamb tandoori (in Mixed Grill) (my previous favourite) is now tough like leather and has no flavour.
- Coconut rice does not seem to have any coconut. The coconut rice made by the previous chef was amazing.
- Shrimp (Prawn Vindloo) were overcooked and very chewey.
- Onion Bhazi and Mango chicken were OK.

After they've seen 65 patients, they don't get paid at all. Clinics may have a sign posted on their doors saying "we may have to close early if we reach our cap". B.C.'s Ministry of Health said the policy was adopted to make sure doctors have the time they need with patients to make a correct diagnosis and maintain sufficient patient records. The problem isn't the cap but the entire volume-driven fee-for-service health care system.

- White Rock is also hilly, but it's also much further away from the mountains and gets the least amount of precipitation than anywhere else in Metro Vancouver.
This is the famous Vancouver microclimate - pouring rain in North Van, drizzly in Vancouver, cloudy in Richmond, sunny in White Rock. The further north you go in Metro Vancouver (the closer you are to the mountains) - the more precipitation you get. The further south you go, (the further away from the mountains), the sunnier it gets. The further west you go, the more mild it gets (never too cold in winter, never too hot in summer), but the further east you go, the more extreme it gets (hotter in summer, colder in winter).
Langley might get snow because it's further inland and thus colder than somewhere like White Rock which is right on the water.
I live in the White Rock area and it is VERY nice and is "removed" from the city as it is surrounded by the Agricultural Land Reserve although they are destroying it fast. Still it is a very nice, safe area with less than half the rain of downtown. Needless to say, due to this it is growing like wildfire and is expensive.
The most important thing to remember is that BC stands for not just British Columbia but Bring Cash.
Did I say cash..........sorry, I mean a LOT of cash. Even if you think you are prepared for Vancouver sticker shock you aren't. Vancouver hasn't seen prices as cheap as what is the going rate in Toronto since the last millenium. Vancouver can be a wonderful city but even if you are planning to go out to Surrey or Coquitlam expect your standard of living to take pounding. It may not seem welcoming but it is simple reality and you have to be prepared for it.

- White Rock does get more sun than Vancouver. It also stays cooler during the summer than many other places in the lower mainland. This does not mean that White Rock has a climate similar to Southern California or anything. There are still many overcast days, it gets its fair share of rain. It is a beautiful area with the beach and shops and a more quaint vibe. I lived there for 11 years, 2 blocks from the beach.
Quality of life compared to where south of the border? That is very difficult to answer. The Vancouver area is one of the most expensive areas in Canada, if you are coming from some small town in Texas where a huge house costs $80,000, you will be in for quite a shock. If you are coming from San Francisco then you might think Vancouver real estate is a bargain. As a general rule taxes are higher here. Most Canadians realize that universal healthcare comes with higher taxes.
