Schulich’s MBA program was today (2008-07-02) ranked #1 in Canada in the field of corporate social responsibility according to the results of a national survey. The survey, conducted by Corporate Knights magazine, assessed how well Canadian business schools are integrating corporate social responsibility issues into the curriculum. The results are published in the magazine’s "Best 50 Corporate Citizens" issue and are available online at www.corporateknights.ca. The 2008 ranking marks the fifth consecutive time that Schulich’s MBA program has been ranked #1 in Canada! Corporate Knights magazine surveyed a total of 38 business schools across the country and looked at three main areas of business school activity: institutional support such as endowed chairs, scholarships and faculty research; student-led initiatives; and course work. The Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary ranked second and the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia placed third. |

In order to make the "Top International Schools’ ranking, business schools must have had respondents from at least four countries who recruited from the school in the past two years. Close to 3,300 recruiters were asked to assess various attributes about the school and its students, including student leadership, teamwork, interpersonal and analytical skills, and "supportive behaviour" – the likelihood that a recruiter will continue recruiting from a school and make a job offer to its students in the next two years. Last year, Schulich was the only Canadian school to make the "Top International Schools" ranking. This year, Schulich was joined by one other Canadian school, the Ivey School of Business (6th). On a per capita basis, no other country fared as well as Canada in the "Top International Schools" ranking. And both Schulich and Ivey were the only Canadian schools to make the Wall Street Journal’s regional ranking. |

October 2002 SCHULICH SCHOOL OF BUSINESS, was ranked among the top tier of business schools in the world by two prestigious publications in their annual MBA rankings. The ECONOMIST magazine ranked Schulich as #17 in the world - the highest ranking ever accorded a Canadian business school in any global media survey. For the past 14 years, the ECONOMIST has published "Which MBA" - a comprehensive rating of the world's top 100 business schools. This year, for the first time, the ECONOMIST released an overall ranking of the top 100 international business schools. Schulich was #1 among Canadian business schools! Ivey, the only other Canadian business school to make the top 50, ranked 40th overall. BUSINESS WEEK magazine also released their 2002 MBA rankings today, separately rating the 10 top-tier international business schools. Schulich again made this top 10 list, considered on par with the 30 top-tier US business schools. We congratulate our EMBA partner, the Kellogg School of Management in Chicago, which was ranked #1 by both the ECONOMIST and BUSINESS WEEK. The Joint Kellogg-Schulich Executive MBA is considered the premium program of its kind in North America today. |
